Beauty that reflects health

Our skin protects us. Through our skin we transmit affect; we feel pain and perceive heat and cold.
It is the body’s biggest organ, with thousands of nerve endings, blood vessels and lymph vessels that are part of the vital system of the human body.
Through the skin we assimilate nutrients and we dispose toxins. The skin can evaporate water thus controlling the temperature of our body. Thanks to our skin we synthesize vitamin D, which is essential for our organism. Its healing capacity, faster than the rest of the body´s organs, shows its excellent regeneration power.
How well it functions affects the body's balance, our welfare and our vitality. Why shouldn’t we take care of our skin the same way we take care of our diet?
Taking care of our skin is taking care of our health.

What our skin needs and expects

There are no products to completely avoid the natural aging process of the skin, but nature offers a great quantity of oils and plants that help to keep its elasticity and bring back a fresh and healthy appearance. Some regular synthetic components and mineral fats in cosmetics products act as a barrier and create false moisturizing by avoiding the natural functioning of the skin. Soy lecithin, sugar esters and some olive oil derivates are excellent natural emulsifiers and they do not block the skin pores. Natural vitamin E (tocopherol) avoids the oxidation of vegetal oils and that is why it is a gentle preservative.
We can assimilate better the substances we need if they come from a plant rather than if they have been synthesized in a lab.
Karicia natural cosmetics seek to stimulate the natural cellular regeneration of the skin and the preservation of several conditions providing what it needs and expects: Natural products that by affinity, the skin recognizes and assimilates.
The greater part of our procedure is based on respectful cleansing of the skin that does not interfere with its basic functions and does not modify its hydrophilic equilibrium or its pH. Besides achieving adequate assimilation of our phytoactives to obtain and restore the functions, conditions or deficiencies that we look for in every product.
